Mustard Chicken Thighs (Quick Sweet & Sour Glaze)
A true gourmet dinner-saver in 22 minutes. The pungent mix of mustard and sweet maple glazes the chicken skin spectacularly in the air fryer without burning it.
Ingredients
- 4 large bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup or liquid honey
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine the mustard, maple syrup, onion powder, garlic powder, and sweet paprika to create the glaze.
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Using a silicone brush, apply the glaze to all sides of the chicken thighs, reserving a small amount.
Preheat the appliance to 375°F (190°C).
Cook for 22-25 minutes. Approximately 5-7 minutes before the end of the cooking time, turn the chicken thighs and apply the remaining glaze.
Serve immediately once the glaze is sticky and golden-brown.

"To facilitate cleaning, line the cooking surface with parchment paper or aluminum foil to catch any dripping glaze, which may burn due to its sugar content."
